In Our Dream

A poem by Katia Nanu, illustrated by Szitai György-Ferenc, translated by Rafael Manory

Please believe me, 'cause what I say is true
Flowers actually have arms, and legs too…

And at night, when we are deep asleep,
They come to hug us... hug me, hug you…

That's why when we wake up,
We feel like we have dreamed

Of something colorful...
Something perfumed and wonderful.

In our dreams, the times are best
Is when a rabbit with long ears

Comes at our behest
Loaded with dahlias all over his head!
